Default Floor Mats

Hi Guys,

The Mats in my car are looking a bit tired and in need of replacement. I actually have 4 mats in the car (coupe), front and rear.
The mats that I have have two hole fixing in them (there seems to be a bit of a change in design about this point), despite the car being a '97.
My carpet colour is Sable.

My question is, where can I get sable mats for the car and a set of 4? If not specifically listed as sable, what is the closest colour match and how close is it?

Look forward to your recommendations.

I can't believe it seems so hard to find parts for this car...

Good luck finding some. Been looking for 4+ years.

I settled for cream ones with my ivory trim.

The nearest I got to ones with the Jaguar logo on them were on this site Click Me somewhere. Ages since I last looked.

If you ever do find any sable ones please let me know!

Look at my post about Lloyds mats. It shows in pics what I found to look good with Sable carpet - as best I could find. My car has top down 95% of the time so my Sable carpet is faded a little bit.

The Lloyds mats are superior quality. Fit perfect and never shift around (and I have single hole). After 3+ years of daily driving they still look nearly new.

Lloyds will send you free samples like I got. Just email Gary Lavender with your list of colors/styles gary@lloydmatsstore.com

Get them here at a good price!

Unfortunately, I'm in the UK. So I doubt they would ship samples to me or infect the order... and the shipping might be cost prohibitive.

^^ What rothwell said. I ordered a set of Lloyds mats for the front floorboards of my wife's 2006 XK8 not long after we purchased the car in February 2012. A much better feel and fit than the factory Victory Edition mats that came with the car, and they still look almost brand new. Plenty of colors to select from so you should be able to get very close to a perfect match....

I've never bought from Dave at DCR, but I bookmarked the site for future use - it may be worth talking to him, as he hints on the site that he can make custom fits:

I wonder what happened to my Lloyd's mat. My driver's side is constantly shifting front to back, and the front keeps folding over. Smh

^^ Sounds like your mat is not properly attached to the floor hooks....

Ok so I bow in my ignorance. I looked and yes I "did" have them, but no longer do. Apparently they were snapped off at some point in its life. Smh

"We can" - please explain if you have any connection with DCR.

If you do, it will be a ban for posting a commercial link without being a Forum Sponsor or Vendor. If you don't, you should always make absolutely clear in a post no connection with ..... so everyone knows it is a recommendation and not an advertisement.

I have no connection to DCR. Let me make that perfectly clear or I wouldn't be looking so hard for car mats for my XK8.

"We can" are their words and their exact statement from their web site (which I posted for reference) not mine in the collective.

I just found that wording to be very confusing in that not available comment about the mats. Are they saying Jaguar no longer makes the mats or are they saying they, that is DCR, no longer has them?

At least one person on the forum has tried DCR and approves!

Thank you for the clarification. Please don't post statements like that except as QUOTES as it is very misleading. I'm sure you would have been unhappy if I had simply banned you and deleted all your posts as spam.

XK8/XKR floor mats have been NLA (No Longer Available) from Jaguar for many years. Dealers have sometimes had old stock but cannot order replacements from JLR. The general policy with Jaguar has been to clear out parts stock ten years after model production ceases. They sell it off by the container load to aftermarket suppliers. However, trim items have always been the first to disappear from inventory and this can be as little as five years after end of production.

Lloyds Mats Store - Made in the USA

DCR Auto Parts - United Kingdom Company

Customeim - Ireland Company with manufacturing facilities and warehouses located in Asia.

GGbailey - Swiss company

For me, it's down to these 4 in no particular order.

I am going to have to talk to the final one to end my confusion after reading through their web sites and to end the questions that I have.

OK, I have narrowed it down to Lloyds Mats Store, a USA employee owned company.

Is the $50 more for the Lloyd Luxe Mat worth it?

Lloyd Luxe Mat: LU5 LUXE 2 Pc Front Mats ($139.00)

  • 1/2" tall luxurious cut pile carpet
  • 48 oz./ sq. yard premium 2-ply nylon cut pile carpet
  • Lifetime Warranty
  • 11 colors
  • Special stain-resistant treatment

Lloyd Ultimat Mat: UM5 Ultimat 2 Pc Front Mats ($89.90)

  • Lloyd’s best selling mats
  • 32 oz./ sq. yard premium 2-ply nylon cut pile carpet
  • 50 carpet colors
  • 5 year warranty
