I only joined the forum very late last night and already the forums have been of great help.
I have a list of issues that I'm slowly working through.

With the help of these forums I have managed to cross 2 problems off the list (see my New Member post) as they were related.
The 2 were the Fog Lights not working and the red LED tell tale lights on the center console not working.

After replacing the No:3 5A fuse in the engine compartment. The LED's lite for an instant before blowing.
I moved onto disconnecting the Security Sounder and indeed it has solved the problem with the front fogs & red tell tale LEDs in the centre consol.
Don't know if the heated seat is working, it didnt seem to get warm (but then I didn't give more than a few mins) and also the passenger tell tale light didn't work, but its a start.

Does any one know if you need someone sat in the seat for the heating to work?


My MOT is up in May and I was worried that it might fail due to the fog lights & tell tale not working.
I'm still not sure wether its an MOT failure or does it only apply to cars made after May 2018?


Anyway, either way they are working now.

I don't quite grasp your MoT issue but the whole MoT manual is online and quite readable so have a look

I expect the heated seat should just work so check fuse(s), relay(s), wiring etc.

 

Good to hear you're finding the forums useful.

The seat heater (should) work without anyone sitting in the seat. Useful for pre-heating on a cold morning. I've had separate issues with these in the past caused by faults in the switch and the seat module.
