Default Front spring packers

I am doing a lot of work in the front end of my Xkr 2000 year model. Now I am planning for the re-assemble of springs and dampers but I am confused about one detail. When disassembling the springs some time back I found out that there where two spring packers at each spring. There where also a third plastic ring, thicker than the two black packers and also having a few guidance brackets on it for keeping the spring centered.

Is this standard fitment? When looking at Sng Barratt site it looks there should only be one black spring packer, nothing else

Higgins, the white one is standard. Be careful of it, I've seen several posts from folks who accidentally broke it.

I dont recall the other two, which just means I don't remember that level of detail. Someone else will surely remember better than me.

Thanks Johnken. No one else seems to be able to share their knowledge here. Strange difference in fitment in reality compared to what Sng Barratt specifies. Now I replace the old stock springs with lowered ones from Adamesh, I have also bought one new black spring packer per side from Sng Baratt, but I guess I will try to reuse the old white one as well that has the guidance parts for the spring on it.

see post 14 in this thread - shows the spring packer area. The black one which I believe was metal rides on the ring that goes around the recessed groove on the shock, then the white one sits on that

Then there has been different setup for different models or model years. My black spring packers are in plastic. I think I will just try the same setup my car had when I took things apart. And lets see how it turns out

From the repair manual Section 204-01
"Springs come in various ratings depending on the vehicle's suspension specification The suspension specification also determines the
number of packers fitted between the lower spring pan and the spring."

It would be prudent to put it back together the way you found it.

Your are lucky they are in one piece, I read here that they come with new springs direct from Jaguar but not aftermarket but also read they are NLA even from Jag, they never had their own part number either.

Mine didn't look too good. FYI, when I reassembled mine I only included one black packing washers to reduce the front height a bit.

RaceDiagnostics, did you end up just leaving out the white ring altogether and just using one black ring, or did you source another white ring?
