You need to replace the entire wishbone, or just the bushings? If it's the entire wishbone did he say why?

unless the upper wishbone is cracked or bent - the upper ball joint and bushing are EASY to replace. And even the lower ball joint/bushings (although a bit of a PITA) can be done DIY or via mechanic.

As this is your first post, please stop by the new member area and post an intro. in return, you will receive a warm welcome and useful tips to navigate the forum

Try and get a good pic of the suspect components and post it.

I'm in the UK and here we have a firm near to Nottingham called Autoreserve, they advertise on eBay but call them directly for much better deals - they will sell you a full reconditioned wishbone and bushes for easier replacement and if your old wishbone comes off in one piece they will give you virtually half the money back in service exchange! That's a big if, though! I ordered a fulcrum pin as well just in case but mine came out in one piece so I have a spare one now!

For the benefit of newer members, although only forum Sponsors or Vendors may advertise their commercial services on the forum, ANY MEMBER who has received good service from a supplier can post a recommendation like this and include a link. The ONLY RESTRICTION is the member must have no connection with the business or be receiving any inducement to make the post.

With this in mind, the link to Auto Reserve Jaguar is:
https://www.autoreservejaguar.com/?gad_source=1

To be absolutely clear, I have no connection with Auto Reserve Jaguar.

Thank you Graham, I have no connection with Autoreserve either, but they have been friendly and helpful to me in my hour of need!
