Default Fuel pump pressure drop under acceleration .... Help

anyone had a similar problem?
Pump pressure is fine at idling (3.8 bar) but drops to 750 millibar under fast acceleration?..... It's in the garage now.... Waiting for news ..... Sounds expensive!!

Any help appreciated.....

The fuel system was completely changed in 2003, so it is always helpful to put your model year in your signature.

On the later models, there is returnless closed loop electronic regulation of the fuel pressure, so the problem can also be with the electronic pressure sensor or less likely, the ECM.

Steve correct also the early XKR's have two pumps if one has quit it could effect performance.

easiest, cheapest suspect is the fuel filter first before moving on.
