Does anyone know where the Data Link Connector is located in a 2002 XK8. My check engine light is on and I would like to connect a code reader to find the problem. I've been told it was beneath the steering wheel trim on the RH side and also told it was in a black box on the passenger side of the engine compartment, but I cant find it anywhere.

 

It is directly above the hood (bonnet) release in the bottom of the dash. Difficult to see, just have to feel it

 

Bless you, I knew it had to be in an easily accessable location. I'm actually surprised that I didn't notice it while I was dismantling my dash.
