Default iCarsoft V2.0 - Can't clear some codes?

Decided to run diagnostics on my XKR before winter storage and the iCarsoft pulled 2 codes, neither of which it could clear:

Security module - U1135 - "Ignition state not obtained"
I think this one may be because I disabled the alarm backup battery as some have recommended?

Active damping (CATS) - C1516 - "5 Volts supply, circuit short to battery"
There are no issues with the CATS that I can tell, the ride is comfortable. Why would it throw this code?
I had the CTEK plugged in why running the diagnostics, shouldn't matter right?

Thoughts from anybody on what triggers the codes, and why iCarsoft can't clear them?
Thanks!

You won't be able to clear codes where there is a constant active fault.

Ok, thanks.
I thought the typical troubleshooting procedure was to clear all codes and then wait a while to see what comes back.

Some faults take a while to manifest “enough” to set off the code, others are the ON / OFF type and will throw a code immediately.

What model Icarsoft do you have? I am trying to select a unit for my ‘04 XK8. Keep having a periodic air bag light.

Some codes are reported without the engine running/car moving, as when ignition is on the car goes through self checks. If it's not clearing it indicates there's a fault, whether it can be felt or not.

I have V2.0.
The airbag light can be triggered by a fault with the SRS, you may want to check the connectors to the sensors in the a-pillars as a first, easy troubleshooting step.

I have iCarsoft V2.0 too, and everytime I perform a scan with engine off, U1135 and U1141 error codes are always present, can be cleared only with engine on. The car has no issues at all, so I ignore them

Good advice. This is like the engine temperature gauge being dumbed down to avoid owners getting worried that the needle is moving around. If the car is working ok, don't go looking for error codes and if you do find some unexplained codes, just ignore them. They are there to help diagnose problems, they are not problems in themselves.
