I'm sure it appealed to whoever did the work, but these things are always a matter of personal taste, and rarely refund the money invested.

It would have looked more like an AM if left stock, and the interior colour scheme makes me feel a bit green.

Obviously someone with a sense of humour...

Just my

Mike

I wouldn't mind having it, even if I would need to saw the roof off of it. If you look at it from different angles though, it appears as though they only painted the flared fenders, and not the doors and roof. The shade is ever so off. Maybe they took the whole car apart, and painted all the pieces individually. Sometimes that happens.......be cool....Mike

I have that same spoiler and thought about the wide body kit, but it is wicked expensive to have shipped to the States. They have a racing filler cap upgrade that is pretty cool as well. I have the winged Jaguar badge, it is taken from the AM design but damned if it doesn't look cool. Here is the info on the kit: Jagar XK8R Wide Body

Nice and to each their own. I dislike the front splitter and the two round tail lights as well as it being a coupe. Other than that I like the wide body kit, wounder what it would look like on a vert?

I like the solution for the info screen. Is that factory made for this edition or is it something they made them selves?

I like the look of the car. The kit gives it a beefier more aggressive look.

But what's with that stupid Aston Martin badge in the rear? This owner has an identity crisis.

It's not factory. I think Paramount did it as an add on for about £2000.

Default 20" Wheels

I put 20" Wheels on my 1999, then moved them to my XKR before I sold the '99 and powder coated them black. Wheel shop ran down a set for me. (The XKR came with 20" wheels, Portfolio Edition, I just liked the new ones better).

Hmmm it definitely looks a bit more up to date, but every car these days looks fat to me, if that makes sense. I guess I just don't like the beefy fat look of this era of cars.

Honest answer; given the choice between this & an AM DB7, and the £20k was my own money, i'd be in the DB7...

I REALLY like it, but maybe that’s because I am also someone who never likes to keep a car in standard trim . I am glad they removed the rubber bump strips along the doors. ( that’s a pet hate of mine, utterly ruins the look of XK8’s and XKR’s IMO ). Not so sure about the interior but maybe seeing it in the flesh would be better. Really good fix for the Nav screen and 3 gauges, might look into that myself in the future. There is a really useful Youtube video showing the fitting of a Garmin sat nav.
Also, the wheels look great but I am a little biased as I have similar deep dish 20” wheels.
It’s a pity the donor car was only an XK8 and not the XKR. For that reason alone I feel they will have difficulty selling at that price.

No idea, I'm in California, never shopped for tires in the UK. I just looked on the web for a week that would fit, went to my local tire store and had them buy the wheels. I think the ones I bought are now discontinued (it's been about 3 years).
