I guess as long as Indians don't attack your car you're safe!

...cuz it resembles a covered wagon! Why not just bubble wrap it?

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa, NO!
I saw a cover that was made for hail and it was actually a layered thing with three layers of bubble wrap sandwiched between Kevlar type fabric layers. Is wa about 3 1/2" thick, but looked like it worked well. Only issue was storage. Rather bulky.

Thanks for the info. People that don't live in hail country have no idea how destructive
hail can be on their cars.

The day after I left for vacation (about two years ago), a major hailstorm came through Dallas. I had two cars sitting in the driveway. A Jag and a 3000 GT.
The GT received $2,700 in damage (convt. top), the 1999 Jag XK8 was totaled
with $9,300 in hail damage.

Dallas is full of beautiful and expensive cars, including jags. I recently walked through
a large supermarket's parking lot, having parked far from the front door. One in three
cars had hail damage of varying degree. It blew my mind. Hail repair is one of the biggest businesses in town. Imagine a car dealer with hundreds of cars sitting outdoors in his show lot.
