Interior door lock???
Hello,
If I'm in my car and I want to let a passenger in, how do I unlock the passenger door?
Are my only options are to pull the interior door handle or use the key fob?

Radjag1,
Now that’s a weird question. I assume that your car central locks as soon as you start driving. That’s a programmable feature chosen when the car was first sold. If you have access to dealer level software you can dis-able it.
However dead easy thing is to just use the driver’s internal door handle and that should unlock all the car (including all doors so passenger should be able to now open the car from outside). Also this should open trunk, fuel filler etc). So if it doesn’t do that, there’s something wrong with the latch mechanism.

No Rob, David is saying just reach up to your door and unlock it. The passenger door will simultaneously unlock.
maybe you're thinking about what happens when you push unlock once as you walk up to the car- only the driver's door unlocks. That could leave you in a position of unlocked drivers door/ locked passenger if you haven't started the car. Good news here - 2 ideas:
1) next time just push the disarm button twice as you approach. The second push unlocks passenger door.
just as David mentioned above, this is a convenience / safety feature (some folks don't want both doors unlocked in a bad neighborhood) that is dealer programmable.
2) just reach up, lock your door than immediately unlock it - it'll unlock the passenger door.
FWIW, if you use the key, both doors unlock in all cases as I recall.
Funny, I can't count how many times I've dropped my lady off for her to run into a store or something, then while waiting, I put the car into gear, for any number of reasons, forgetting this locks her door. For some reason she always seems to get frustrated as she walks up, arms full, and I'm sitting there listening to music as she pulls on the locked door handle and nothing happens - go figure. :-)

I may not have understood, but I found that slightly pulling on either interior door handle, but not all the way as to open door, will unlock both doors. No need to reach over or use the remote. Also, pushing the same door handle inwards will lock the doors.
You may have been saying that but I didn't comprehend that.
Anyway, this comes in very handy. I don't remember seeing this in the owner's manual.

I went back to the owner manual and it still doesn't spell it out. That was where my confusion was.
Thanks,
Rob

So, my car doesn't always do this. Works when both doors are closed, but sometimes I'll open the driver door and then try to unlock the passenger door and it doesn't work. Does it work the same for you guys?
Yes, but the passenger door should unlock when you open the driver door. In fact (just checked this), the passenger door will unlock itself if you try to lock it while the driver door is open.
It took me a while to figure this out too. I had a small garage and had to pull the car out to let a passenger in, and I got tired of leaning over and unlocking the passenger door. All you need to do is do a half-pull on the driver's door handle and it will unlock the doors.
