I understand that some/many Lincoln LS engine parts interchange with the XK8.

I have a MY2000 XK8. Is there anything more to know than just asking the parts counter guy to reference a MY2000 Lincoln LS with a 4.0L and comparing the parts?

Well the Lincoln LS engine is a 3.9 I know the tensioners are the same, but the block, crank, rods, and pistons are different. That is the extent of my knowledge.

 

I think we should have a sticky listing parts found to be interchangeable with the LS. It could potentially save each of us some money.

 

Found out by chance that the thermostat is the same. Went to the Ford dealer since I was in a bind having to order one, and he even showed it crossing over. Was on a 97 XK8.

Anyone know if the MAF sensor is interchangeable with the Lincoln LS?

 

Just wanted to let everyone know, the relay for the 2003 Jaguar S-Type 3.0 is the same for the 2003 Lincoln LS. O had to replace this and the auto store did not carry the Jaguar part so I told them to look up the relay under the LS. Perfect match!

 

97 Xk8 uses the same valve cover gaskets,they were less than half of Jaguar OEM.
