Default Low-beams aren't working

Hi guys, I know I don't venture into the XK8/R section too much,
but here goes...

The low beams on my 2003 XK8 are totally non-functional.

They don't work on "auto", "on", or from the button on the remote.

I have tested the headlamp fuses, and the 2 10amp fuses for the head-
lamps are not getting power. Both fuses are in good shape.

Should the connector that is below the fuse box be a culprit?

Thanks,

Ian

Remove the cover from the fusebox in the engine compartment (USA driver's side). Check that the relays are seated and have not worked loose. If all is OK, swap relay R3 and R5 and see if your low beams start to work and your high beams now do not.

If all else checks out you might need to replace your combo switch. Try using your turn signal positions while your lights are on...high...low...park. When mine went bad I had no low beams unless I put the signal switch on "left", and then it was other weird combinations.

thanks guys!

2 Bulbs and a fuse have fixed it. I guess one burned out, and
the energy surge blew the other one.

Solved!

Staring at electrical guides and wondering why electricity won't make the bulbs 'light' can take you down a 'dark' path.

Simple sometime alludes us.

Been there, Done that more than once!!
