Default Luggage Compartment Lights Not Working

Luggage compartment lights are not working. Replaced bulbs, checked wiring harness for broken wires, checked latch switch - appears to be functioning. Owner's manual doesn't specifically indicate which fuse for the trunk lights but I suspect they are connected to other interior/accessory lights which all seem to be working.

does the glove box or your vanity lights work? From the electrical diagram 10.1 - looks like they all come from the same point on the BPM

Probably the trunk micro switch. Easy job.

Thanks for the reply. Yes, both the glove box and vanity lights work. I checked other fuses as well. I also visually looked for any kinked, broken or frayed wires in the electrical harness. The trunk latch is working as well. Is there possibly a solenoid associated with the latch?

Rex, thanks for the response. Now where to find "how to change the trunk micro switch"? Any suggestions?

As I recall, just carefully remove the plastic trim piece at the back of the trunk (boot) and you will see it somewhere around the latching mechanism. Got replacement from Rock Auto or Welsh and it cured a host of gremlins.

Thanks, I'll give it a try.
