Message Center this indicates that the Control Module, (CM), referred to is not programmed correctly and must be replaced by a new PECUS programmed CM.

Default PECUS message

Thank you. I had seen this explanation earlier but it contained an additional letter. How and where does one acquire the module?

Your MY and short VIN might help.

DO NOT POST VEHICLE INFO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The forum depends on vague vehicle info so we can all guess and post irrelevant responses. (it keeps the threads going on FOREVER!!)

Default PECUS

As a first-time user, I apologize for not being more specific.

Jaguar XK8, Conv. VIN SAJD42C762A45063

Where can I purchase a correct programmed CM?

I think your thread has gone full circle - you don't know which control module it is because you don't have the additional letter in the PECUS error message. What exactly does the message say in the message centre?

Also have you tried reading the codes?

You still have not answered my question. Is it the MY or the short VIN you have objections to?

Have you scanned for codes? Please send a pic of the message center. Has the ECM been reprogrammed? Has anything been changed recently?

I was posting to the ORIGINAL POSTER (AKJ) that would not provide vehicle info.
You were correct to ask about MY or VIN.

The new members area is the spot for the warm fuzzy welcomes.
Seem's you thought Bob's comment was directed at you not the OP as intended.

My apologies, although I've been a member of the overall forum for many years, I should visit the new members area for this particular forum. Thank you.
