Default New wheels arrived but alas, the center caps are an issue!

Just had a ups drop off and found my new wheels sitting on my porch. I unpacked them, and AWESOME!! A couple things are a small problem.
First, I've got to go get some much longer nuts for the depth of the wheels. I think a wheel shop down the street has them, so hopefully just a quick trip.
But the center caps will NOT work!! The seller said my Union Jack centers should fit but they fall right through. They came with some really nice heavy aluminium centers but the logo is NOT going on my car!! I tried sanding a spare new cap but it looks stuck on.
I think I found a solution by prying out the center from my red caps and it fits flush in the recessed center. I'm not using the red, but at least I think it works. I really wanted the Union Jack centers, but actually they disappear on the silver wheels!!
Here's the factory wheel center

Temporary red centers. Black on order.

That looks like a quality part. I'm not a fan of the logo tho.

The red looks good there. I'm surprised it fit so well.

It's funny, the jaguar factory are plastic but the aftermarket centers are heavy spun aluminum with metal tabs.

Although red centers would look good combined with red calipers.

Be careful with the replacement nuts. As I recall the thread is 1/2-20 so make sure they give you the correct thread pitch. Hate for you to mangle one of the studs.

Well, that's the thing. I picked up my paint today for my re spray and I'm trying to decide about the caliper covers.
I was painting it black mink but when I saw a sample in person, it was too light. A guy was there picking up some touch up for his Volkswagen CC and he said I should take a look at it if I wanted a dark black/brown and when I walked out, it was like bells went off.
It's called Black Oak metallic. This is going to be soooooo hot! I finally found a photo that really looks like the paint in person.

My issue is, do I leave the calipers red, or, do I have them painted the black oak and put silver letters on them.

That combination of Jaguar centre fitted to the new aluminium cap looks a better quality job than the all plastic Jaguar cap.

What's wrong with doing the same thing using the centres from Union jack caps?

Won't work. Tried with a new style growler but the disk is too large. The older style XK8 has a plastic disk set in a chrome bezel and once popped out of that bezel, it's the right size, barely, to fit in the metal bezel from the new wheels.
Think I'm using the Union Jack centers in my XF.

Well, wheels getting closer. Had to run around town getting different spacers only to find out they sent wrong nuts. Supposed to get right ones tomorrow and black centers here Friday.

Phil,
Those wheels look beautiful, I can't wait to see photos on your car. I may be persuaded to follow suit.

My wheels came with those same center caps. Where did you find the cat logo caps?

I took my red set I bought off ebay and pryed out the red centers. Then used two part epoxy clay to attach to the factory centers. Oh, and my damn tire shop broke one installing them today!!
