Default O2 sensors

Replaced my upstream O2 sensors in June as I was getting the p1646/p1647 codes but the engine management light is still on,no other codes,I thought this may have cleared itself after a certain amount of milage, I can erase and reset the light but it will only extiguish for around 10 seconds, any ideas, car runs really good

If the MIL is coming ON after 10 seconds following a reset, there must be codes. At the very least you should always have either P1000 or P1111 so if your code reader is not even showing either of these, you need a compatible reader.

When I plug my meter in it gives me p1000,and the p1646,p1647,error codes only ,I erase the codes which leaves me with p1000 and the engine light will go out, i can switch of engine then restart and light comes back on after 10 seconds, plug meter in again same codes appear,

Did you get the right sensors? The upstream sensors are wide-band. The downstream are the narrow-band. They work completely differently, so start by double checking the part numbers. Separately, the heater circuits for these sensors have fuses and relays. Make sure all of that is up to par. If those 2 codes showed up at the same time, double check the common part of the circuit, likely the relay/fuses.

Best of luck, keep us posted.

Coming on so soon = very badly faulty. (Normally takes 2 drives.)
