Default One last look before selling!

The time has come, to old, to poor, no more time to deal with the now extra car. Photos of what it looks like now. Thank you to everyone and the invaluable knowledge base on this forum!

No point in keeping the XK8 if it's not getting used but a shame it has to go. Good to hear you've found the forum useful.

I'm sure you're sad to see it go, looks like you have added personal touches to really make it yours.

Good luck on the sale. It's a stunner and should find a nice home.

made the diffuser myself. I always thought it needed something else down there. Im not sure it does anything but look good and will usually stop people and have them ask what kind of special addition this jag is.

Its a pretty simple build , i still have the templates.

there is one piece that attaches to the trunk at rear flange just under the bumper cover. i used some flanged fender nuts. this piece is also slotted to hold each fin. the front of the fins are then attached to a thin spacer. the spacer is required to attach thru the trunk. i will take some better pictures and post them.

the decals i had made at the sign shop. i still might have the text and file on the leaper. if i find them i will post them also.

the material i used is called Azek. i have access to scrap and off fall so i had no real cost. making the form was the hard part but all of the fins are identical. in all there are only three parts not counting hardware.

i will see what i can put together and post.

Here is a template for the fin. Also the art work for the leaper and logo.

http://www.urbanfonts.com/fonts/Jaguar.htm. this is the font download for the lettering.

Hey there Daddyo007 - what a beautiful car, such a shame to see it go, but if needs must I guess.
The fin looks awesome and really should be added to the how to section!!

Rev Sam is looking to come back and is looking at another XK8, I'm sure he's love yours as a really nice example, may be worth shooting him a pm??
If a dea lcould be done you know it's going to a Jag lover and one who'll appreciate, love and look after her.

Jag owner or not, you'll always be made welcome here Daddy0

All my best
Jim

Sweet car. I love the coupe body style but I'm really in love with my convertibles. If I buy the convertible XKR I'm looking at I'll be selling my convertible Saab.
