I’m 71, but due to a few catastrophic motorcycle accidents in the 1970’s, my back has aged much faster than the rest of me.

Best of luck, keep us posted.
that has not been suggested
will check is out
can I do that without pulling the seat? (since I am not a mechanic)

Jon is correct. The webbing discussed looks more like a rubber sheet to me. It does split over time and you will sink a bit. Much more comfortable with it installed.
I tried and gave up trying to find a new one. Decided to make a replacement myself, cost about $15. Used a rubber(ery) material designed as a waterproof barrier for installing shower stall base.
Job: take seat out.
Measure and cut new material with common scissors.
Remove metal hook (1left, 1 right) from old ripped piece.
Fold new piece left side over.
Cut hole approx 3 inches in, 1/4 inch in size on the fold you just created. Scissors again.
Place 1 metal support clamp in the holes.
Put rubber glue on the fold's flap.
Fold over.
Place old book or 2x4 over the newly glued flap.
Do same for other side.
Let dry overnight.
Install.
Happy wife, happy . . .
Look this is an overview of what the job takes. Final instructions bot much different, if you want to do it, just ask.
My memory says not enough room under passenger seat right now for you to bend over and evaluate the stock piece of rubber. Going to have to un-bolt the seat to see.
Its on you now to come back with questions/ requests.
