Default Piano black fascia

Still playing around with my veneer finish and looking for some pics of the piano black fascia with black leather interior. I've only found one and wondered if anyone has an actual car with this? Piano black fascia-image.jpg

I'd guess that this is someone's actual car.

Smudges and fingerprints on the black would set off my OCD. No one would ever be allowed in the car again!

Personally, I like your titanium finish with the piano black accent. It breaks it up a little bit. subtle, but not quite monochromatic.

I really like the gloss finish. And no one really touches the fascia any way.
I've got to re wrap a couple pieces anyway so I'm trying all my options.
I'd really like to send the original panel to British Autowood and have the wood finished in a black stain, something that wood let the grain pattern show but still be very black. I just don't know how to remove the airbag panel.

Unfortunately the only way to take the airbag panel out of the car completely is to remove the airbag.

I know. I've been looking for the info on exactly how to do that. I know the battery needs to be unhooked. If its a simple removal, I'd tackle it.
My real finish I want is to have it restrained in an ebony stain and cleared like a factory finish. I've contacted British Autowood to see if possible. I've got a guitar finish I'd LOVE in my car!

The Airbag Module Finish Panel is attached with 4 clips

Although not strictly necessary for removal of the veneer only, I always disconnect the battery and wait for the backup power supply to dissipate before working on any part of the Supplementary Restraint System.

There are two straps that hold the panel once un clipped. It is attached behind the airbag module. And no way to remove it from from the straps.

Ok, that is stunning!! The white with the black is really something. Since mine is all black, I wonder if it will look as dramatic.
I've ordered some gloss lack wrap to try first and see if it is what I'm looking for. At 1200.00 to refinish the veneer, I may opt for something else. Or at least a time out for a while. I keep looking for a second hand set on ebay. Saw one in UK cheap but it must have been a manufacturers second as it was completely reversed!!!!! LOL
