Mine's cracked in multiple places and in my journey to replace everything possible on my xk8 I want to get a new one.

I want to confirm that it will fit a 1999. It's listed as a 1997 and the description says 1997 - 2006, but looking to the experts to see if it will work in a 99 or if they made changes.

There are two types, as the radio changed, and they are different shapes - I suspect that is not correct for your car.

 

Possibly not. The header unit in the '97 has a somewhat different control layout to '98-on, and appears to have a more pronounced 'lip' at the bottom of the panel.

The EPC shows a VIN break from LJA6318AB to LJB6318AB (via LJB6318AA) @ 018108, which is the start of the MY98 cars.

Heritage shows both these numbers as current.

Possibly worth a try if you have the option to return the part if it doesn't match your header unit profile?

Sorry for being a bit vague, but the Jaguar info I've found isn't definitive.

 

The obvious question is whether or not it looks the same as the one you have? The two types are noticeably different around the radio.
