Press the button but nothing appears on the display. No sound (i.e. looks like it's not just the display that's dead)
Replaced both the fuses in the passenger side fuse box and checked the amp fuse in the trunk. No luck (although that seemed to work the last time I had no radio)
The 4th fuse in the trunk # 18 / 30 amp is the one for the separate amplifier . Since you had you hand on it you have the premium setup . The CD player is separate in this premium setup .
The other 3 fuses are :
# 9 / 10 amp passenger side fuse box
# 12 / 5 amp passenger side fuse box
and looks like there are only 3 total on the X100 that I could see
This is the white connector on a 96 X300 AJ9500A and will be remove by me if I see that its different then yours . I think yours is AJ9500 C
Have your put your finger on the king relay on the right passenger fuse box and feel for it to click when turning the key to the on position as you suspect a parasitic drain ? And if it does click , still swap it anyway .

Appears your white connector is either physically different then my AJ9500A or the pin map my be different . There was also a change over in head unit models somewhere about your year . Reference page 125 of the wiring guide below as my pic may or may not be helpful to getting your specific power pin locations .
You should see power on pins 1 , 2 and 7 if yours is like the one in the wiring guide for 2000 .
We'll break down the king relays open and closed commands from the ignition switch as you seem to have an issue with that effecting the whole electrical system before the sub - systems of stereo and Nav and otheres . We'll break it down into sections with feel for click method .

Replacing the brown relay in the interior passenger side fusebox did not help. No radio, no Nav still. It clicks, as did the original one, on turning the ignition key, and I rechecked the three fuses.
Update: Earlier discovered pulling the 10amp radio head unit fuse stopped the parasitic drain. Just replaced the head unit with a $135 used unit and now everything is working again (including the sat nav).
The part number of the radio that came out of my car is LJD4100AA
Keeping the same stereo premium unit by desable the nav unit
Hi guys
I am new on this forum . I have to say from the posts i read so far its beed very educated for me.I
have a Jaguar xk8 2004 convertible and lately face this problem: The radio and nav unit won't work. Both of them dead. No lights nothing. I checked all the fuses and the 10 amp fuse on fascia passeger side blows. I disconected all the units in the trunk and reconnected again. By the time i connect the nav unit with the cd changer and amlifier with the round black cable that comes from the central console from the radio unit blows at once the 10ah fuse on passenger side (fascia). All the others fuses seems good.I want to keep the premium stereo system (its the alpine) and desable the navi unit if its possible. Any ideas about what is wrong i would preciate it'
Thanks in advance
