Default Rear Hub Replacement

Took the car in to get the rear bearing replaced and when the tech went to put it back together, he said the pieces didn’t fit snugly and spin around the hub, meaning we need to replace the hub. He said he could put it back together as is, but I’d be back in a couple hundred miles with the same bearing problem. Good reputation behind this guy, so I do trust him.

My vin ends A33399 so it looks to be part MNE3337AB. Discontinued.

Anyone have any leads on a new replacement or a good looking used part? Checked SNG. Found some oddly inexpensive ones on Auto Reserve. Would love to find something stateside just for quicker delivery.

The hub nut is available and I understand a new one will be needed. Attached are pics of the hub from my car for reference.

Thanks in advance and Merry Christmas to everyone. This has been a great community to be a part of.

The old part number for X100 (1997> is CCC2913.
The part has not changed since it was used on XJS and XJ40.

Look for CAC6400, CBC1784, CBC8936, CCC2913 as these are all superseded to MNE3337AA and finally MNE3337AB.

I actually have a few with the worn spot on the bearing race section.
It could possibly be welded up and turned on a lathe if there were absolutely none left on the planet.

Thank you @motorcarman !
I’ll start looking for those other part numbers as suitable alternatives.

The only difference I see between the 1980s versions and the later ones are the wheel stud thread lock method.(threaded/staked vs splined)
