Default Red Brembo/R brake caliper paint code

My OE red calipers had a couple of paint chips in them, but I had not been able to find any touch-up kits or references for the exact 'Brembo' colour.

A few years ago I used to drive a red Fiat Panda and still had the touch up kit for that. Tried it on my calipers yesterday and it is an EXACT match. I waited until today to post this in case the paint changed colour slightly on drying, but it's fine.

The Fiat reference is Tiziano Red, code 199.

Kits should be available from all Fiat dealers or motorfactors, at least in Europe.

Thanks Frog! I was just starting to research a touch up paint for my calipers today. Now, we just started seeing Fiat dealers again in the states so I am not sure how successful I will be but I am curious:

Has anyone else has touched up their factory red calipers with pain readily available in the U.S.?

P.S. I like your updated "R" badge, nice touch!

Hello, VERY nice wheels, BEAUTIFUL!
I just did my calipers and supercharger with G2 high heat caliper paint and it is the exact same bright red colour as the Jaguar Brembo brakes.
You can see my new thread and my older thread of my XKR modifications. new includes the supercharger and old includes calipers and drums.

From a Fiat Panda to an XKR, now that is quite a change.

I can't be sure as paint brands can vary slightly. Why not order the real Fiat paint online?

If you are completely repainting all 4 calipers, then I guess an exact colour match isn't vital. Any vaguely similar red should do.

TBH, I would just get some heat-resistant red paint from a local automotive suppliers. The problem is that if you just paint standard calipers, they look a bit cheap & nasty:

Ideally, to get close to the original factory finish, you should remove the calipers completely and get them powder coated, but this is way more complex.

Well i like the Tiziano red, and also the Rosso Corsa red thats on the Ferrari. Those seem to be the best colors for red to me on a caliper. Just not sure the best place to get it. Does this place Automotivetouchup.com place have a good rep or that other place i think its called need4paint over in the UK. Thanks

Lorenz,
For under $20 you can purchase the Duplo Caliper Paint Kit in the bright red shown on my calipers below. The Jaguar vinyl lettering was purchased online for $5.98 (silver metallic lettering). (These were done about 3 weeks ago) After the paint has dried and the lettering applied, they were sprayed with an overcoat of clear enamel. Under $30 total investment. If you have the Brembo brake option, the Brembo vinyl decals are available as well in place of the Jaguar lettering. Since you're painting the entire set, identically matching color shouldn't be an issue. As I recall, however, the Brembo red is a bit more orange red than these. However, the Ferrari calipers are red like this as are the Wilwood racing calipers (I have them on my Pantera).

TBERG, looks great. You did a pretty good job there and the red looks pretty bright to. Thanks
