Removing the intake manifold...
Hello guys;
I'm going to be removing my intake manifold, to educate myself a bit, do some cleaning and also to replace my knock sensors while I'm in there.
I could probably wing this procedure, but would feel better following instructions on JTIS. Problem is, I can't find ANY instructions on removing the intake manifold in JTIS (at least for my 97).
There are a few procedures in JTIS that REFER to removing the intake manifold, and they refer to "operation 30.15.01" to show everything required. But there's no link to that operation, and I've done several searches to no avail.
I'd be grateful if someone could point me to the procedure for removing the intake manifold for my 97. Thanks!

That Operation Ref doesn't appear to go anywhere in JTIS.
The intake manifold procedure is covered in pages 3 to 5 of the 'Throttle Body Elbow' operation 19.70.28.
I've got this as a PDF but it won't upload to the forum. It's on my mediaFile account at:

Any use?

Actually quite easy...... Once you remove all the bolts from the top and the 2 at the side for the throttle elbow, disconnected all the pipes, electrics, out it comes, of course you need to remove the throttle body first.
I haven't looked at GGGs PDF but just remember you can not remove the inlet without the throttle elbow, there is a bolt underneath you can not get to, I see them ripped out so much where other mechanics have simply ripped it out!
The only "special" tool you will need is the one to remove the fuel pipes, but if push came to shove you could unbolt them at the fuel rail
