Default Replaced battery, now radio is dead

I had a dead battery now the radio is dead. I replaced the battery and started right up. Before I go looking for a fuse, is there some reset trip that needs to be done?

Thanks,

Welcome to the forum TreelandXK8,

The three things that need to be done following a battery disconnect/reconnect are:

1. reset clock
2, reset radio presets
3. reset window travel limits

European vehicles (and a tiny number of US vehicles) are fitted with coded radios but this does not prevent them from powering ON.

The radio will power ON after a reconnect provided it is not switched OFF and there is power to the head unit.

Of course. I haven't gotten into the fuses yet, though.

Thanks, all. I tried all of the fuses.
It looks like I will be pulling the radio out to see if there is power. I am afraid that the radio might have been damaged in a jump start attempt.

It would not be the first. Usually you can get an used replacement on eBay for a reasonable cost.

Try leaving the car locked for a few days. Then start and hold the am/fm button along with the mode switch. My radio popped up the code msg and all is working again. Worked for me good luck
