I currently have an i carsoft i930 scanner, it works on my 1996 xj6, but when I set it up for the xk, it reads voltage and when it goes through the test sequence, everything fails. There are currently no codes or lights, but it should read similar to the other Jag. I am looking for recommendations for a good scan tool, or maybe some advice using this on the xk8. Hizz and Herzzz
My history with a icarsoft LR-1 (works on Land Rovers and Jaguars) is on a 2002 XKR. It works fine (reading and deleting) all powertrain, transmission, suspension, and chassis codes.
the LR-2 model was available when I purchased the LR-1, but it seemed to have features I didn’t need on the 2002.
Also interested. Any obd2 wireless + app option out there ? The icarsoft is honestly just a cheap plastic toy and is way overpriced for what it really is.
I use a Topdon Artidiag500 it reads almost everything, almost all vehicles, free updates for life cost around £120
it also connects to internet and tells what the codes mean

Ok, I take it it reads ABS then, what model year do you have on your XK? I need to sort out what's going on within my abs system, thought I had it right with new front harnesses, but problem still there and right now permanent...
Cheers!
