My 1999 XK8 is not 100% .....................and im not 100% sure how to read these so here goes.

Measurements taken with car up to temp

ldle @ 659rpm

MAF 5.39g/s

LAMBDA2 1.006- 0.986 over 30 secs

LAMBDA21 1.006 - 0.967 over 30 secs

02S211 0.977 -1.516ma over 30secs

02S21 0.781-1.516ma over 30 secs

Am i correct in thinking that the MAF and upstream are ok? lts the downstream im not sure about are those readings out of wack?......................(.well im not 100% sure about any of it TBH

M,
A few things. Would you please add your year / model to the auto signature line? It'll help us help you in the future. I see its a 99, but XK8 or XKR undefined.

It'd be great if you described the symptoms that got you to record these readings. If its plain and simple no symptoms, just checking these readings, then ok maybe someone can interpret them for you.

I just reread and noted the 2 questions. Friend if they were out of whack, you'd have symptoms. . . Believe me its a rare instance when you get a simple single layer cause / effect :-) (ha ha but kinda true!).

I'll leave it to smarter folks than me to review the reading, good luck with it.

John

There are set acceptable parameters for the sensors listed, are they within spec?

l cannot make it any simpler . Thanks

As for the signature, no.im 54 not 14 and have no interest in listing toys past, present, dreamt, stolen or otherwise

Why do you not understand that listing your car's specifics in your signature line will help other members to help you, regardless of how young or old you are?

Because to me folks like you that have to list all their toys are at the very best either teens or a little insecure. The same as people who have to answer threads when they have no applicable information to offer.

But thank you ever so much for your help!

M, you having a crappy day or something? I'm surprised you didn't realize I was trying to help.

BTW if I could have been more polite, respectful, or helpful let me know how. I love to learn.

No, im just sick and tired of being told to reframe questions list faults etc etc etc when there is very good reason to me for asking what and how.

lts really simple i ask this way for very good reason, i want to avoid people disappearing of on well intentioned tangents.

ALL I WANTED TO KNOW WAS IF MY SENSORS ARE OPERATING WIHIN SPEC.

lts not that hard i guess if you know the answer. 2 out of 3 i have found, reminded again, its best just to say nothing and keep digging.

PS , Sarcasm, very good, considering.

Fascinating. Does this approach to asking questions for which you don't know the answer usually work?

You need a different (software) tool so it reports in an understandable way.

Good Morning, Brotha...

From the info you post/offer I can't tell what is or isn't 100%... Are those simple readings off the O2 sensor wires? If they are, I guess they look ok. The upsteams should fluctuate if I'm not mistaken, give reading between a range of like 0 to 1. I'm not sure what the 30secs means in this.

I think other folks make sense for asking for just a bit more information. Resisting just offering it up, which cost nothing, confuses me a bit as well... Stop being crabby, lol... Or caty, hahaha - I crack myself up.

Yes, thats why i frame them the way i do, it means i either get the information i need or nothing , it usually means the well intentioned or bored leave it alone, usually. Not that difficult a concept to grasp, unless you are bored or a smartarse that is.

We all have anger issues from times to time. But it’s shocking to see it played out on this most civil of forums

Venting on an undeserving group of people just trying to help each other to keep these 20+ year old cars on the road is the most unproductive way of problem solving I’ve come across on this, or any other automotive forum.

Best of luck to someone clearly needing luck, and more.
