Default Sold Her so goodbye.

I sold my 97 Jag XK8 today. It's a beautiful car but I am not rich and all the potential problems these cars tend to have I just didn't trust it. I did get 10,200.00 which I thought was good except for the fact it was a 70K car when new. So goodbye to my friends here and thanks for all the good tips.

good luck porkenstein! If you don't trust it, and if you worry more than you smile, you made a good choice.

Well darn, I've not had one problem with mine that I didn't cause myself.
Maybe it was just the car(s)? Sure they will have some problems, sometime, given
enough chance but why give up on a perfectly beautiful car that you have so much help here to fix any problems. Well except money. Don't think anyone has started giving that out here yet. Just free advice and instructions but hey that's worth a lot of do-re-mi!

Sorry to see you go.

I still have my corvette and though it isn't as pretty I can jump in it and go coast to coast with no worries at all. I can't say that about my Jag. Also all I ever do on the vette is routine maintenance on the vette. Never had to fix one think yet. And of course I will miss the green shower that can happen at anytime.

I sold my '97 last year and within a month, I wound up buying an '04. Same color convertible so the neighbors didn't even know I changed cars. We just couldn't find anything else to replace it. When we bought the '97, it replaced a Vette. Enjoy!
