I need to order new suspension parts for my 2002 XK8 Convertible, and depending on the supplier it is either: coupling rod, rod brace stabiliser, or anti roll bar drop link! In order to complete it asks (quite rightly) car specifics and comes eventually to either X100 or QDV.
In my log book it gives the VIN as SAJAC42P532A29407 & version as 4A10.
Could a more knowledgeable member tell me is mine X100, QDV, or 4A10, and what are the differences?

If I remember correctly QDV is the convertible and QEV is the coupe - this has been asked and answered on the forum before somewhere, but I can't find the thread.
You shouldn't really need those codes to find the right parts though. Have a look at the SNG Barrat website - they list everything and are a good source for parts or just part numbers:-
He's in Portugal, so he is better off ordering from inside the EU, rather than have his parts held up in customs and have to pay any import duty, VAT and a handling fee by ordering from the UK. SNG Barrat already have European branches, which I assume they ship from avoiding these customs complications. I no longer buy anything I don't have to from the UK for this reason.
I hadn't noticed his location thanks for pointing that out. Not being placed under the members name and avatar Its easy to miss.
That said.... the post is still a valid recommendation of the supplier and also a useful part number verification for any XK8 owners wherever they are located
Do I detect an Anti-Brexit stance by any chance lol

It's more expensive and harder to get parts for my British made car and British made boat now. I used to be able to order from the UK and get the parts I needed in a couple of days, compared to months from the US. Now buying from the UK is like buying from the US (and of course the other way round), so it's a real PITA.
Sorry to hear that it must be a nightmare.
if you ever need stuff from the UK I'd be happy to post it out to you as a gift if its any help ?
We should set up a collection /delivery service for expats in Europe so you can get your Beer , Marmite, Battenburg cake etc
I have often wondered if it was possible to send packages cheaply by train

Thanks very much for the offer - I'm sure lots of people will be getting friends and relatives to send things out to them as "gifts" - the tax free limit for gifts varies from EU country to country, but I would think for things like second hand parts putting a low value on them might well save some tax.
Luckily the British shops round here haven't run out of Yorkshire Tea or Marmite, so complete disaster averted. 🤣
