Welcome to the forums ruslan68mb,

Do you mean the SRS (Supplementary Restraint System) Module? Also please add vehicle Model and Year details.

yes, srs module, jaguar XK8 x100 2003. Some say 2 modules are installed. I don't know if this is true or not

SRS is complex. This diagram from JTIS (Jaguar Technical Information System) is the easiest explanation of the system:

Here is the module under the centre console cubby box liner on my 2005 XK8:

Good luck - SRS faults can be difficult to troubleshoot.

Perhaps if you tell us what problem you have, we can help?

Because they do different things. One controls the airbags, and one controls the restraints (seatbelts). That doesn't actually answer the question about what problem you are having.

Reflashing is the nuclear option!

B2291: OPS Sensor Fault
B2292: Pretensioner Circuit Front - Open Circuit
B2295: Air Bag Side - Open Circuit

With each of these, the PID code will indicate which sensor or which side (driver or passenger). The DTC combination suggests harness damage or faulty harness connectors.

Have the belt pretensioners and the airbags been fired?

It's always the details that make the difference.

As asked by crbass above - fired (?) and if so, additional damage to the vehicle makes a big difference to the diagnosis, testing and repair.

Doesn't sound like reflashing is worthwhile.

Some modules can be used several times. There is a way to determine which modules and how many times but I forget all the details.(been too long since I worked at the dealer)

Here is a TSB with info that might help.
