Is there a seconday location for paint/interior codes?
I am in need of some interior parts but, unfortunately, some one cleand the tag by the door striker with something that removed all of the printing. I have looked at some of the various VIN decoding sites but they don't provide that level of detail. I assume I can get it from a dealer, but am trying to save myself a trip.
Paint and trim is not part of the VIN definitions. Definitely no second location for paint and trim codes on European specification X100 and I don't see a reason for US specification to be different.
For the paint on your 2004 white convertible, Spindrift White (NEE) was available until 2001 MY when it was superseded by White Onyx (NEG) so almost certain what you have. Interior is less straightforward as original buyers had 14 options from which to choose.
No real alternative to calling a dealer although many members could probably identify trim colour from a photo.

I e-mailed jagcrc@jaguarlandrover.com with my VIN number & asked for a copy of the build sheet, within 2 days had it back, listing all options, colours of interior trim, seats etc & paint code.
My Suggestion is:
Get the Paint Code and Trim Code from the Sticker on the Door Jam as shown above by "wj"....then go to "Automotive Touch-Up" paints on the Internet....You put in the Code and they tell you the Color....While you are there...Buy a Spray Can of your Color! You will need it! and it is a great match! or you can go Here:
