Get a D-hook from harbor freight and weld it onto where the tow hook should be at the rear. Paint it black so it's not as noticeable.
Not the best option but certainly the cheapest

Unless you meant the hook that screws into the rear of the car.
In that case E-bay.

Do you mean the Towing Eye?

If so, there should be one in the tool kit. Fits front or rear after removing the blanking plug.

Note these have a reverse thread.

If you have the M16X3.0mm LH thread (you should on the 2003MY) then I have several.

I have NO MORE M20X2.5mm for the 1997-2002MY cars.

I assume he wants the M16 LH one otherwise Bob can't help.

You can either send him a PM, click on his name and then select the PM option, or send an email, click on his name, select view user profile, select the contact tab and then he email link.

JF rules stipulate that items can not be offered for sale in the discussion forums.
You can send me a Private Message or find my email address and contact me.

Thanks

Be aware that a VW Jetta has the same thread size and similar tow eyelet and could be substituted if that is easier to find.

I have used the Jaguar M16x3.0 tow eye in a Jetta to pull it into my repair shop when the VW one was missing from the tool kit in the spare wheel holder so I imagine it might work the other way.

Hi, Does any one know if it is legal to replace the tow loop in the front with a license plate holder?

I tried the tow eye from my daughter’s VWJetta, it fit the rear threads perfectly. However on the front it will not, in fact it just slides into the threaded hole. Is it possible that 2004 XK8 has two different tow eyes — one for the front and one for the rear? If so why?

Since this thread is alive once more, thought I’d ask:

is the M20X2.5mm correct for the 2002 XKR ?

if so, what should length be to match the (missing) original ?

I guess it is possible that the rear is M16 LH thread in the rear and M20 RH thread in the front?
Don't tow cars much but I never really paid attention.
