this is actually one of the things on my wish list as the green "lights on" is not working. Since it's the only one im not sure if it's worth the hassle, but it does annoy me. Other threads mention it could cause more harm than good. Is it really a minor thing?
Yes, of all the things to be done on these cars, this was one of the easier ones. All you need is a 1/4" ratchet, 6" or so extension, a 7mm and 8mm socket, and a small pair of needle nose pliers. The fiddliest part was taking the cluster out, but it was a problem with my specific car. The dash pad material wraps around the top of the cluster area, and the LH corner had curled up a bit, blocking cluster extraction. The needle nose was needed to remove the small bulbs as my fingers were too big to grasp and turn the base. The whole process, working slowly, took about an hour.
