Ans 2- Do a search on this forum for the suggestion on tops.
Ans 3- That is the speaker for alarm tones, your looks like a mod was done to it.

1.) eBay almost always has owners manuals for sale. Be carfull . . . some sell a printed copy of the manual from a .pdf file . . . not a good deal.

The owners manual is available for download on this forum.

2.) covers I can't help.

3.) Looks like something added by a previous owner.

 

In the first couple paragraphs of info in the Xk8-xkR FAQ thread, you'll find the link to get your PDF of the manual. I keep a copy on my phone, everyone should.

They are in PDF format and set to allow printing of individual pages or full documents.

Hmm... I thought that was the cabin air temperature sensor. I do agree there's a mod though.

 

That particular one is a dummy grill. The cabin air-temp is on the other side and looks the same.

 

Isn't that the sensitivity setting switch for the nightmare cruise control?

Certainly after-market potentiometer. I would take the kick panel off and see where the wires go. MC
