Why does it take so long to Start-up?

Glad you got it worked out, but geez....

Do we have a thread started yet for ''Priceless bits to nab in the wrecking yard when am x100 arrives?!

Can you elaborate? I do not see a Smart Junction Fuse in the fuse box chart.

Problem sounds like a bad swing check valve in the fuel tank... the fuel rail should maintain pressure even when the car is not running.....if you put a fuel gauge on the rail chances are you will see the fuel rail pressure drop right off to zero when the engine is turned off.....so when you restart the car it takes a few seconds for fuel pressure to return.... Before you panic there is an easy and CHEAP workaround to avoid a second home mortgage to get the tank removed, fuel pump replaced etc......all you need to do is install a swing check valve assembly OUTSIDE of the tank in the fuel line between the tank and the rail.........good luck !

Try touching the throttle petal just a tad bit when cranking it.
