An unmistakeable smell when driving through the French countryside which had me perplexed for a long time. There they don't put it in their tractors - they put it in their diesel cars!
I don't usually use one resource when attempting some of these repairs. Heaven knows how frustrating it can get. Ultimately, I will be the one
who decides on the advice I choose to take. I don't happen to believe that any advice is gospel.
This is great example of the new computer age. "A sign of the times". The internet is why something like "the Cancel Culture" even exists.
Now the internet is a weapon to suppress free speech. Free speech has always had it's own form of justice. Gary V. took his fight too far and has now
paid the consequences. Just because we can say whatever we want, doesn't mean others have to listen. With that said, it doesn't mean that
we should censor someone. The degree of patience with Gary V. was abundant. Perhaps it is fortunate that he made the choice to leave the forum
voluntarily.
Wow. I missed all the "fun". Most of us don't do this for a day job, and as parts, and new iterations of designs change, I've probably asked the same questions before just to make sure my task at the time was the best way to do it.
I shopped around for the best chain tensioners I could find; was I being annoying by polling the experts in the forum? I dunno, but I sure do like it when I can get others to look over what I'm doing as SOME THINGS CHANGE WITH TIME. We learn, more importantly, I learn, and I appreciate it.
It's funny though, I still haven't edited together my final tensioner/cooling system overhaul video (don't know how John does it so often and fast) but I got this other guy's comment which made me chuckle. I responded in the best sarcasm I could muster; I do this because I'm a 3rd generation Jag freak started by my grandad.

By posting comment regarding videos, I think you may have missed the point of this thread.
The YouTube channel tothegarage is owned and hosted by John in England who makes all the videos. This is NOT the same peson as Gary VanRemortel the Californian Bible-basher. The only connection is that John has a link to the Bible on his channel.
