99 xk8 .Replaced fuel pump.cel is off but pending po171 still on. Will it pass inspection? If it fails, how do I clear the pending code?

 

You info doesn't give the state you live in and there are different requirements by state. The odds are against you for passing smog with a pending P0171 code. The ode indicates you are running lean on the right bank. I have attached a copy of the DTC definition for the P0171. Since it is a pending you most likely have a small vacuum leak causing the code to flag.

 

Many areas check the OBD monitors are set so why not find what you're allowed and read yours?

BTW every code clear also clears ALL of the monitors.
