Hi Billy Clyde,

Thanks for the tip--indeed, I thought the same thing before I bought the wheels as a couple of them didn't even come with the valves. I made contact with Dave once or twice, but he was a bit slow to respond. I decided to get mine from PW motorsport. They're a german company that seem to have these things in droves. Similar prices, plus you can get the caps along with them. They also stock the spline tool and replacement bolts. BBS is a german company, so I guess they have the inside track on this stuff. So far so good with the stuff I bought from them.

Welcome to PW Motorsport an authorized BBS and Audi Performance Parts supplier, VAG VW Audi Seat Skoda Specialist Garage Pembrokeshire - BBS VALVES

Just another option. I know Dave is a high quality guy, though. I just couldn't do the wait.

And if you're addressing me, the answer is similar. I'm not running any spacers, and the suspension is totally stock. Mine is a base model XK8 manufactured in August 1996. Still fun, though!

Hi Billy
Well his is frustrating, I used quick reply instead of quote and of course it did not drag the post it referred to along. I scrolled though this page twice and could not find it - it was a silver coupe distant shot where you can tell the wheels are a little wider and the entire car a bit lower. the poster explains that.

Your car continues to fascinate me with all your mods. I loved the interior mod were you removed the back seat and the lighting mods. Me and my Silverstone (now 45K) are limited by time and budget to make these mods happen. I just had ULTRA bulbs installed (which helped a whole lot) and have kept the car otherwise stock. I too have the 20 inch BBS but Detroit wheels. I will have to take some pictures of them and post. I did have the same thought about "what if" I lost the screw in stem and could not get air in the car so I ordered one as a spare. I am having real problems at the local discount tire getting air in the tires from their air hose. It just won't seal to the hose. So maybe mine are bent or damaged somehow. I have not tried my new one yet vs the old one.

I too have the brembos drilled brakes (wow do they stop) but they are labeled Jaguar and are painted silver. Thought about repainting them red.

I continue to read this forum because of this thread you started, thanks so much!

Brad

Here's a good shot of the wheels and brakes.

If I were to guess Jarkko, I would say that you have posted photos of a 2005 Jaguar XKR Coupe with 20" Sepang Wheels. Looks like the Interior is Ivory but I don't know Jaguar's name for the Color Blue......The Engine is so clean, I doubt you've ever started it.....Is it still cold up there?

Nice! Billy Clyde in Houston

Hello there Mr. Vegas,
You've got one of the few Silverstone's, I think they shipped 250 of them to the States....Do not paint those Calipers, as that is the way the "Silverstone" came! The 20" BBS "Detroit" Wheels are darn good looking, don't you think? You've done well! Keep it clean and shiny! Drive it a lot and watch where you are going!

Jaguar sent a little Black package full of Screw Caps, Air Adaptor Valves to check Air Pressure and a T driver in the Glove Box of all BBS equipped Cars.. If your car doesn't have one or you need to add the actual Air Valve itself check out www.XK8-Parts.com as they have these items in stock. Also, look above where Mr. Sandwich has written about another source for Air Valves in Germany........

Brad, sorry but you seem to have me mixed-up with some other Guy, as I still have a Back-Seat......

I have to say that it does sound more like a Rob Enderle than a Billy Clyde mod!

Thank you so much Billy! Not at all! The weather here is eventually sunny and it's very warm now too, over 30 °C in southern parts of the country. Summer is just a little bit too short here so some of us have a mindset to take all out of it

This one is Pacific Blue late ym2004 and interior is Cashmere (JHM/SDZ). I love how Speangs look so I retrofitted those. I like very much Detroits too, but my previous XKR had Detroits and I wanted some variation. The engine bay shot is taken right after my friend did a real good job with finishing my car

The stainless mess grills behind the over riders look great. Are they an OEM part fro the XKR or aftermarket. ?

There is a 3 piece aftermarket available from Adamesh. The description indicates it may have been a factory option but I'm not certain. https://www.adamesh.co.uk/jaguar-xk8...sign-348-p.asp

Barry Tucker,

As I recall, my 2003 XKR Coupe came with the Mesh Grill and Over-Riders.....Some times called (Buck-Teeth)!! Looked exactly like Brad's "Silverstone" Grill....Brings back lots of memories!

I really like the newer Convex Mesh Grill that's on the 2005-2006 as they don't have the 2 Over-Riders...It just looks smoother and makes the Front look wider!! Those XKR's also have a small 2nd Grill below the Mesh Grill, which acts as an extra Air Scoop for the Oil Cooler and Intercooler,,,,.

If those are factory, they look like add-ons. Very poor design.

No, those are vintage Hella Rallye Lights (metal not plastic). The factory fog lights were molded into the corners of the front bumper making it look like a late 90's Camaro.

I like them a lot on this overall build. They aren't my car's style, but the work looks well done on eliminating the factory fogs or just never having them and it gives a classic rally look; and the headlight film/tint/whatever really matches up decently and reminds me a bit of a rally 911 or old rally Mini, which are undeniably cool cars. The factory fogs on an early X100 look great though compared to the weird crap my early X150 XKR has up there with the fake plastic grille mesh shenanigans.

Thanks...kind of the look I was going for with a little inspiration from the 60's Alpine A110 as well. This is my summer daily driver and although mechanically sound, the paint and styling were starting to show their age. Looked into a paint job and really wasn't worth it given the resale value of these cars....Also you can't have nice things in southeast Michigan. The car has a number of nicks and dings from "park by feel" drivers.....While cleaning up the body and removing trim and badging, I also decided to fill in the fog light holes. The car is finished in a blue metallic wrap to give it a more modern color and it should be easy to fix when it gets dings and scratches....Best part is that it only cost about $300 in materials. Headlights are tinted with an inexpensive film and headlight washer is replaced with a black mesh vent (I had lost one of the covers many miles ago). I used to refer to this car as my "beater" Jag, but now I'm quite proud that it gets a lot of looks. Without the badging I get a lot of questions about what it is.

I'm actually in Southfield right this moment for work this week, and live in Grand Rapids on the other side of the state so I feel you there. The roads here really aren't any worse than my side though lol. I'm not holding my breath that Gretchen will do anything other than make our damn roads cost more; it seems we never actually do fix them regardless of financial allocation.

Again, nice mods. Did you do anything to the interior or back end at all?
