We had good results with the Magnaflow example at the top on our XKR. Have you found the Mina exhaust to be a bit too raspy without the X? Just curious what your reasoning for going this route was.

Jason, I believe the Mina system leaves the front dual in-dual out muffler in place. This would replace that front muffler.

Alex, Magnaflow does make good stuff, but any of them should work just fine. I would guess the Magnaflow would cost the most and Summit the least, so I would probably just go with the Summit.

That's a screamin' deal for the work you had done. One of the things I really miss about living in the midwest. When I left Carbondale in '97, I saw gas for sale at $0.87/gallon somewhere in SW Missouri.

I will add video as soon as my new TIPS get installed. I had to order them. I cant remember who added them to their XK8 but it looks a ton better filling up the gaps around the small tips that are stock.

Small world Jason, graduate of Mt Carmel High School here. Several of my friends went to SIU for college. I headed farther north to Indiana.

My XKR is without the two rear mufflers (I have these http://www.adamesh.co.uk/jaguar-xk8-...stem-880-p.asp that are bigger and louder than original ones) and now I'm considering if to mount the central X-pipe or not. What do You think about it? May I have any detonation problem or flames out?

You shouldn't have any problems, it will just be even louder. Do you have the two intermediate mufflers?

I believe that on stock XK8/R we have one front central silencer and two rear muffler (one right and one left); now I have no more the two rear muffler and I'm thinking to mount a X-pipe instead of the central silencer; in this case I'll have no more silencers/mufflers but just "a pipe".

Hey, that's what I tell my wife. If she has them, she should flaunt them.
