Hello all! I was wondering if any of you have had experience with airbag code 44 - Impact sensor circuit fault – pass side. My car has been displaying this code for a while now and I'd like to get it cleared. I have tried to find pictures of where the front passenger impact sensor is located but haven't had any luck. If you've had experience with this problem I'd love to hear how you resolved it. Thank you!

 

I am guessing Pass Side means RH Side Impact Sensor?

The Electrical Guide is pretty clear where the the sensor is located.

RH side that is correct. That's great info thank you very much! I was thinking it was at the front of the vehicle towards the headlight. This definitely helps me, thank you agian!

 

As per the XK8 electrical Guide (figure 18.1) there are THREE impact sensors for your car.
Front
LH side
RH side

 

If I'm not mistaken, in the 40's series of airbag codes for this XK8 (SAJDA42C52NA23202) there is 42 for the front sensor, 43 for the LH sensor and 44 for the RH sensor. I can't open that PDF with the illustration you are referring to but knowing that it is near the seatbelt retractor definitely helps a lot.

Driver side sensor fault: Flash code 43
Pass. side sensor fault: Flash code 44
