Default Setback! :-(

Well installed the new high amp alternator this weekend but in the process of taking it around the shop yard for a test noticed the rear seal is leaking. Bummed out . New seal and put in properly. Will have to drop the trans again and replace it darn!!

Talking I'm Back!!!!

Well its been over two years since my last post. What can I say, time flies when your having fun. I went into a bit of a block when work and life side tracked me but I started up on the Jag project again and the body is almost done. Some photos to show the progress. Hoping to have it back in the garage for the interior install and finish in the new year

There is nothing sweeter than a freshly painted car. Except perhaps, driving it! Congrats on the latest milestone in your restoration.

Apologies if I missed this in an earlier post, but what are the wheel specs? I really like the fitment there. Are you running spacers? Staggered setup? Tire sizes?

Ok I got questions now...

Why did you choose to not integrate the tail light housings into the fenders? They have that "bolted on aftermarket" look now. I do like the round lenses just wish they were not so obviously unoriginal.

What's up with the yellow door? Shed looks very "serial killer inside" too.

You pained the whole car, right? So why did you choose to keep the snow ledges on the sides?

And is that your Chevy in the background? That is my wife's dream car BTW.

At first I was shocked by the red paint on the window trim and mirror brackets. Now I am a fan of that choice.

What is the plan for the front grill space? I kind like the black hole look it has now. Making me think about powder coating my mesh grill black.

i have a 99 that i brought back from a stored car...only two years and it's a ongoing project. i commend you on your work....it's a nice looking project car that appears to have all the small details taken care of, truely brought back from he dead.
There was mention of crome wheels someplace...my car has the, they appear to be jag wheels, just like the ones that came off your car, but chrome with the green jag center caps. they are pitting a bit now, mostly in places you cannot see from looking at them, but still in good shape.
my car has 46,000 miles and is a convertible, burgundy with white seats....black top.
its a wonderful car to own, i did not see that coming, i enjoy it immensely even thought it is not like anything i own and enjoy other wise. truelove and refined ride.

The fronts are 255/55/R18 and the rears are 285/55/R18. The in the rear I am employing a H&R TRAK spacer that is 1-1/2 inches . The tires are Michelin Pilot Super Sports. The wheels the Coventry Wheel

Awesome, thanks for the detail. Any rubbing issues with the spacers?
