Just obtained a full wood 3 gage dash including gator surrounding and window switch surrounds 8 sections in total only cost me £10 so could not let that slip through my fingers, only problem is two sections are slightly sun bleached so i was thinking of getting all the parts professionally wrapped, I was thinking of piano gloss black but your thoughts would be appreciated ,Thanks guys👍

Not sure if you have a convertible but, I'd think the reflected glare from gloss black on a sunny day with the top down would get old very quickly.

It's not for my car my dash is just fine but i couldn't resist the offer to perches it,just thought it would make a good replacement for anyone needing one, just picking brains to see what the best choice would be.

IMHO, Carbon Fibre Black wrap (matt finish) would look nice.

If you are looking to sell I wouldn't do anything. The new owner would want to finish them in their choice however a Matt finish wrap would be the best option. You got a heck of a deal, the full set could likely fetch a couple hundred dollars.

No personal experience whatsoever but rather than wrapping - have you looked at "hydrodipping". You can have pretty much anything you want.

Or you could buy a Ford Escort. Putting anything but wood back sounds horrid. There are plenty of people about who could give them a walnut wrap etc.

The other problem with gloss black is finger prints.
