Popular Auto Enthusiasts Heading to Import & Performance Nationals

Carlisle Events’ May showcase to feature Jaguar specialists Michael Quinn, GW Bartlett, Dave Welsh and Joseph Limongelli.

The 2018 Carlisle Import & Performance Nationals event always offers an international automotive showcase, and this year’s event promises to be even better. Running May 18 through 20 at the Carlisle Pennsylvania Fairgrounds, the event features an all-new grouping of Jaguars and Aston Martins featured in what’s known as the “Legends of Design.”

With these amazing cars comes some equally impressive special guests, which include: Jag expert Michael Quinn; GaryGW” Bartlett, one of the foremost experts in classic Jaguar restorations; Dave Welsh, whose company Welsh Enterprises is the largest independent supplier of Jaguar parts in North America; and author Joseph Limongelli, who will be signing his new book, Me and My Vanquish, and discussing his next book, Me and My Jaguar. The guests will be present from Friday to Sunday as part of a special showcase. They will also participate in a seminar on Saturday. Until then, get to know them a little better…

GW Bartlett is one of the foremost experts in classic Jaguar restorations. He started the company Original Specification Jaguar Interiors (OSJI) in 1980 and has since handcrafted some of the top Jaguar interiors down to the finest detail. Bartlett is also involved with Muncie Imports & Classics, a top European and Asian vehicle restoration shop located in Indiana.

Michael Quinn is the grandson of Jaguar founder Sir William Lyons and personal Jaguar representative to the Queen of England. He is also a committee member of the Royal Automobile Club.

Joseph Limongelli (pictured right), who is also known professionally as GT Joey, is an author of multiple automotive book and has also had stints as a host on the Velocity Channel’s Legends of Design. He will be the emcee for the 2018 Carlisle Import & Performance Nationals and managing  the roundtable discussion with his fellow guest speakers.

Dave Welsh’s father, William Welsh, started Welsh Enterprises in 1976 as a full-time parts business. In the early 1990s, Welsh became a licensed salvage dealer, which has grown to be the largest Jaguar-only salvage yard in the country.

The 2018 Carlisle Import & Performance Nationals runs May 18-20 at the Carlisle Pennsylvania Fairgrounds. Gate tickets are $10 daily for adults, or $15 for a three-day pass. Kids 12 and under are free. Get more details here.
