No, you’re not mistaken: you have seen a lot more Jaguar vehicles driving around lately.

Thanks in part to a 64% year-over-year increase in Jaguar sales, to the tune of 61,651 units, Jaguar Land Rover as a whole sold 2991,556 vehicles in the first half of 2016. That’s a new company record for half-year sales.

Leading the charge are two of Jaguar’s new compact luxury offerings, the XE and the F-PACE. Together, the two combined for nearly two-thirds of Jaguar’s total June sales.

Launched in March of 2015, the XE luxury compact sedan has fared well in a crowded but fruitful segment, which includes the Mercedes-Benz C-Class, the BMW 3-Series, and the Audi A3 and A4. And the F-PACE, which just started shaking up the compact luxury SUV segment four months ago, was June’s highest-selling Jaguar model.

What’s even more impressive is that in the United States, JLR isn’t just keeping pace with the German luxury stalwarts, they’re beating them. The company’s 18.7% year-over-year growth is a full 15 percentage points better than its nearest rival.

Looks like the cat is officially back. Keep up the good work, JLR.
