Hi All,
Just joined. Based in Melbourne.
Have a Mk2 1960 which i've owned for 12 yrs,
Just getting it back on the road and getting some mod'con's on board, alternator, Air con. And now building up the parts for a fuel injection conversion to my existing 3.8 XK motor.

Hope to be mobile in the next month.

Hi Steve

Welcome to the forum. Hope you can join us on a run this year, you can chew the fat with Ken on Mark 2s. He has a very nice one :-) There is a run on tomorrow if you are free and just want to meet the people. Turning up in a Jag is optional.

Hi steve,
Thanks...
I noted you had gathering tomorrow...
But my boys birthday party, plus my jag is out of action, new alternator to power steering pump coupling broke.
Would like to catch up during the year..

Hi Gene

Welcome to the forum. Hope you can come on a run during the year. Had our first run today and our first F type starter. I am sure he will welcome another F type on the front row of the grid :-)

G'Day Dave.

I am doing the opposite this coming Sunday.

I pick up my Jag near Launceston and bring it back to the mainland.

Don't suppose you feel like doing a drive around the North on Sunday 12th ?

I pick up the car early and not on the boat until that night so looking for something to do all day.

Pete

HI PeterG

What are you picking up and where? We are near Sheffield and would love to go for a cruise sunday. Have you been to Tassie before, any particular place you'd like to see?

PM me with contact details and we can go from there.

Cheers

Dave

A nice pic on the jag drivers victoria facebook group of graeme voigt at a look out, arthurs seat. https://www.facebook.com/groups/1549414531981415/

I was thinking this would be a good place to include on a run, say up to the top of the seat, with photo opp at lookout on way up, then off to taste some wine at a red hill vinyard, followed by some navigation down to portsea back beach then point nepean, where if you could get on the grass there would be some great photo opps.

Fortunately ive done the front end on the xj40 so surely cant be far off rego!!! Maybe the air con ad dash lights could be fixed first.....

hi guys

new member from melbourne

interested in an f-type awd v8 coupe, and awaiting my local dealer to provide some pricing

i read somewhere that jag have made a few options standard now, but my online configurator still has an alarming number of options selected

currently have an R35 GTR as a second car making around 800hp, but looking to replace with something different, and something i won't fall into trap of pouring money into aftermarket scene - resigned myself that a replacement won't be as quick, but f-type should compensate with sound/drama at sane speeds

will be scouring the forum now for member feedback on their f-types

Hi

Welcome to the Forum and good luck with your search. I imagine the GTR would sell pretty quickly.

Cheers

dealer is quoting me around 290 full rrp for a loaded up rwd v8 f-type coupe, seems a bit excessive

and into the 310's for awd

i was hoping a rwd to be in the 250-270 range

They are scary numbers but typical for the top model at the start of its life span and also considering we are in Australia.

Keep in mind that my 2009 XKR Portfolio was $245k plus ORC when new,
but current NEW XKR's can be had for $170k, heavily discounted by Jaguar to move the last of them on, a relative bargain.

(Please PM me when your moving on the GTR, I could be interested)

Good Luck, Dene
