i have a 14 ftype v6 380 hp convertible, i like the side skirts on the v8s, looked in all accessory catalogs with jag, where can i buy them and how much? help!

what side skirts? are you talking about the design pack?

 

Yes, he is, but only the trim pieces that fit on the bottom of the rocker panels. I like them too. The rest of the "design package" is not of much interest.

 

I wanted these as well and investigated them when I got mine last year. The parts cost $1800 plus paint and install. A little pricey for me but if you find them cheaper please share as I love the look also.

 

My dealer said they are not sold separately? If someone finds them...please share information as I'd like to add them as well.

Has anyone tried to just buy and add the "Finisher Panel" on each side? They are $383 each, and I'm assuming it's just a couple bolts and washer to fasten them. I'm seriously considering ordering them and seeing if they will just bolt on my V6 convertible

 

I just replaced one. While the cost for the part is 400, it's not as simple as you'd think to add. The bolts are blocked by the paneling under the car, so you have to pull all that before you can replace the skirt
All told, cost me around 800.

 

the parts department at San Jose British motors told me that if I wanted the finisher panel in the same color as my car, I would have to get it painted. they quoted me $225 each if I remember correctly.
supposedly it's current coating is primer.
