After market seat heater install
I was surprised my, new to me, 2019 convertible didn’t come with heated seats. The car was a Florida car so perhaps it wasn’t a requirement there but I thought it would be standard on this type of high end vehicle. The car is now in MA and it was 8 degrees this morning
Has anyone installed the generic aftermarket seat heaters on their f-type? From what I can determine the seats need to removed and the leather needs to be rolled back to place the heating element under the leather, bottom and back. Install the wiring and fine a power source. Plenty of examples of this being done on utube.

Haven't done aftermarket but I've replaced the seat leathers and other parts on many OEM seats, it's not a terrible job if you have a little patience. It is surprising your car does not have heated seats, what's you VIN? I'm curious to see the build spec. I can supply the workshop manual sections for removing the seat covers if you need as well. Adding in the OEM system is impossible without CCF modifications but just wiring up to power/ground and having aftermarket control would be quite simple.
The VIN is SAJDD5EV7KCK59241.
Got the after market seat heaters coming tomorrow and since the car isn't on the road till spring I'll have plenty of time to get it done.
If you have a manual that handles the leather removal that would be great. I'm pretty good at this stuff but it never hurts to RTFM.
The car also doesn't have separate passenger driver heater controls there always in sync, strange?

Def does not have heated seats, strange.
Added the cover removal processes. Figure you can manage the first step of taking the seat out without pretty pictures of it, the instructions are kinda sparse. Bear in mind that once you disconnect one of the seats, the network is split and the car will not respond to the key or anything, so move them where you need them for the bolts before you unplug either side. Hog rings are easy enough to do, just make sure you have a decent set of pliers for them, they are cheap and make it so much simpler and less risky than doing them with normal pliers. Not worth putting a hole in one of your covers.
