Default Battery

I am curious whether anyone has found a non-Jag dealer source for the FIAMM AGM 90Ah 850A battery CW93-10655-AA in USA supposedly required for Jags with the start/stop feature.
While I do not need one (yet) I am unable to find a source for this specific battery or a suitable alternative. I expect I could always pay the proverbial arm/leg to a Jag dealer but it is just a battery!

Isn't it just a normal AGM battery in the H8 size? Easily available in any auto parts store

Perhaps you are correct but whenever I select a battery (H8 included) or a battery manufacturer, no batteries appear to fit the 2020/21 F-Type 3 liter

Jaguar replacement batteries are sourced thru Interstate with a Jaguar sticker.

I replaced my battery recently (V6S) and I noticed that it looks a lot slimmer but longer than "normal" batteries to fit in the required space, so you might have to go the Jag dealer battery route.

I did a lot of research on this a few months ago and worked out that the "best" direct replacement for the OEM battery was the Varta G14. At least for all F-Types up to MY 2020, not sure about MY 2021.
It's correct in every way - Ah, CCA, size, shape and terminals - and in fact it was used by JLR for a while as the OEM battery in place of the Fiamm.
Two problems though - it is ridiculously expensive (try $599 AU) and it may not be available in the US other than as an import from UK/Europe which would mean horrendous shipping cost.

Yep, us long suffering Aussies get ripped off big time on the cost of "luxury" cars like the F-Type and nearly all replacement parts, and the dealerships are the worst of the bunch.
Fact is in nearly eight years of Jag ownership across three Jags I have never bought a locally available part (other than various fluids and the non-standard battery I bought a couple of months ago) because they are simply unavailable here in Oz other than from the JLR dealership. So I buy from Rock Auto, BritCar etc and eat the shipping costs, which still works out waaaay cheaper than buying from the dealership.

You got to choose - low prices or decent weather!

Has anyone looked into an AC Delco 49AGMHR battery? According to one of the on-line auto part retailers that is a correct replacement battery. Lists for $165 US.

I just measured my FIAMM battery at 13.9in (L) x 6.9in (W) x 7.5in (H).
Actually I measured closer to 13.75 in but figured I was off due to the difficulty of accessing in place.
The other thing I realized was that the OEM FIAMM battery is a European battery size H8.
H8 has the same dimensions as a US BCI Group 49.
The AC-Delco 49 AGM certainly seems to fit the bill, even though supplier web sites state that it does NOT fit the 2021 F-Type.
Once the battery is identified as a group 49 AGM, several options pop up in addition to the Ac Delco battery.
Strange that none of them are stated to be correct for the F-Type!

I should have noted that I have a 2015 model. Go to the R....auto site and put in your info to see what pops up.
