Unhappy Can't Open Trunk V8s

Hello guys, I just got a big problem today: I can't open my F-Type V8s trunk anymore and/or plug a battery from the engine bay.

Short history - I took the battery off the car to charge it, and jumped the battery connectors together to do a hard/module reset by draining any residual charge from the capacitors.

Then I closed my trunk to not get dusty inside but forgot that it can only be opened electronically. Over the internet, people suggest to connect the battery in the engine bay, but that's not an option for me as the battery connectors on the trunk are jumped.

Anyone have any suggestions on how can I access the trunk and open it? This really ruined my day

First at all: Modern vehicles have non-volatile memorys to store settins for faster start-up quite complicated systems. Therefore "jumping" battery terminal mainly only resets your clock. There are an "Vehicle Reset" command on diag tools reseting what is nessesary. (even that won´t reset all)
On XJ (x351) behind of rear seat is an connector for 12V to operate directly boot motor without powering up anything else on car. No idea if such added on F-Type.

Another possibly easier way, is to release the boot-lid from underneath...

This process will definitely reset the Battery Module, and is necessary if use of an OBDC device has left the system in a state where it will not go to sleep. This is really common when the diagnostic session has not been properly shut down, such as after emissions inspection.

My brand-new battery is dying for no reason, and I didn't changed anything on the car, so I was assuming it might be related to the car shop not proper shutting down the OBC connection on my last car revision. That's why I tried, what many members suggest, to reset the computers by removing the battery and connecting both positive and negative together.

Exactly, that's why I've connected positive & negative and removed the battery.

My mistake was to close the trunk to not get dusty inside.
