That would be helpful, need my VIN just to be safe?

Also, does the rotor used for this impact the wheel offsets at all? I know for Audi it differs with ceramics due to a different thickness rotor mounting plate.

Default Carbon Ceramic Brakes -F-Type retrofit

I'm in the process of upgrading my 2015 F-Type R to carbon ceramic brakes. I have most of the necessary parts, correct wheels, calipers, pads, electronic parking brake and rotors. However , I'm missing the the brackets to mount the rear calipers and separate parking brake. Does anyone know the part number for the radial bracket ? I have also looked into changing the hub carrier to the SVR ones , but the dealer is asking $1k each
for those parts ! Any help here would be greatly appreciated. Justin

The best way is to pay someone who has a stock F-Type with Carbon Fiber Brakes to order the parts from the dealership.

A number of people with ccm are looking to downgrade to traditional when they need to change pads due to cost. Perhaps you can find someone and do a swap?

Hi there everyone. Just registered with a question about some wheel hub matter which relates to CCB and steel brakes. I will start soon restoring a Jaguar f-type SVR which at this point is missing it's rear suspension on one side. I came across a complete set BUT from what I can see it's an hub carrier from a CCB set/donor car. My SVR has the steel (red) performance ones.

I've done about 2 hours of research (Jaguar in Holland also did not want to give me a propper answer) and on average the price difference between both of these complete hub carriers new is roughly 50-70 euro's. Which would tell me there cannot be that much of a difference between these two hubs. Replacement bearings, wheel hubs etc are also all matching up. They both seem to have the exact same hole pattern etc. The only difference I find is there are parking brake caliper retaining inserts put into the top inserts. Will this be the only clear difference then?

I am really curious if anyone who did an conversion ever measured the bolt distances etc. As from what I can see you are paying only 50-70 euro's extra for the two inserts which would result in you can actually leave your hub carriers the same on the rear on an SVR if you want to convert it?

Really appreciate if anyone knows something about this!

Hello there, Digging up this thread from the grave!

USA resident considering purchasing a used 2016R with the factory CCB option. I want to cover my bases and line up steel rotor replacements for when its time, or I will be passing on this car altogether. My internet travels brought me to this thread and the incredible journey that @Stwsam and @Cambo have been on 10 years ago!

Not sure if either of those gents are still here, but if so, can you please weigh in?
  • I know @Stwsam went from steel to CCB, but I want to do the opposite, but ideally retain all the CCB calipers and mounting brackets and eBrake calipers.
  • Is that possible? If so, can you please point me to front and rear steel rotors I would need to do the conversion/downgrade/de-conversion?
Thank you, I really appreciate any help.

We offer both ways:
  • Upgrade (Iron to ccb)
  • Downgrade (ccb to iron)
Stock calipers are retained.

Hello everyone, I have been conversing with @Warren-RB and RacingBrake is willing to manufacture a run of Steel rotors & pads for F-Types with factory CCBs that allows us to retain factory calipers. They are looking for a minimum of 3 orders. I am in, so we need two more.

Please reply here if anyone is interested.

Wanted to share more information on the pricing that Racing Brake is able to provide.

If they get at least 3 orders to make a production run, they are willing to offer a 15% discount off of their regular prices (for Aston CCB to iron conversion as reference). That would work out to a very reasonable $3375 for both axles. That is less than the price of 1 factory CCB rotor. If folks are interested, please post a reply in this thread and really hope we can create this option.

No help but you mentioned Cambo and he is a long time forum member and an expert in Jaguar modifications. I don't see him on the forum much if at all anymore and the last time I heard he was just too busy with his business. He has done a LOT of stuff with Jaguars!
OldJaguar.Com

He is in OZ and is listed as an owner of the above business. It would be a good idea to send him a message to see what he has to say on this. They do list 2 locations in the US.

how many miles on the ccb brakes? You can check rotors by weight. Unless the car has been tracked a lot, i cannot imagine wearing out the rotors.
Someone like Porterfield can copy your pads to their 4S material. The rotors are a different story.
A. for the love of God do not go way from the CCB.
B. if you must change swap with a steel rotor person

Back from the dead- I have all the parts for the swap.

I see there are multiple harness options that differ based upon the brake setup. I also know about the wear sensors on CCB vs steel.

Has anyone modified their CCF to match the carbon ceramics for the ABS programming, etc? Or modified/swapped the harnesses to that which would be in a CCB car from factory?

Looking forward to discussion and figuring out how to best move forward on this in as OEM a fashion as possible.
